Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beer preferably lager or ale
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta until it is al dente
Remove the water and set it aside
Boil chopped bacon in a big pan over medium-low heat until it gets crispy
Take the bacon out of the pan and set it aside
The fat from the bacon should stay in the pan
Put minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in the same pan
It will take about 5 minutes of cooking until the mushrooms are golden brown and the garlic smells good
Use beer to clean out the pan and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom
Add heavy cream and bring to a low boil
For two to three minutes, or until slightly thicker
Grated Parmesan cheese and cooked pasta should be added to the pan
Toss the pasta around until it's all covered and the sauce gets thicker
To taste, add salt and black pepper
Add the cooked bacon
Add fresh parsley as a garnish if you like
Enjoy while hot!
